Dr. Shilpi Sud

Dr. Shilpi Sud is a young and dynamic Consultant at Safal Hospital & Diva Fertility Centre in Nagpur, Maharashtra. Her list of current assignments also includes working as Consultant at Wockhardt Hospital (Nagpur), Clinical Secretary of Nagpur Obs & Gynae Society, and Fellow Guide at Dawn DGO, NARCHI. She has been associated with Lata Mangeshkar Hospital of Nagpur as Co- guide for post graduate teaching programme.

Dr. Sud is an alumnus of Government Medical College, Nagpur. Her MD in Obstetrics & Gynaecology was completed from reputed and prestigious PGIMER- Chandigarh where she had undergone training in Research Methodology and Biostatics. She further pursued DNB from National Board of Examination, New Delhi. Dr. Sud's academic career also has Diploma in Gynae Endoscopy (Laparoscopy and Hysteroscopy) form Germany.

During her Junior Residency at PGIMER- Chandigarh, Dr. Sud managed cases of High Risk Pregnancy under vigil guidance of Dr. (Prof) Sarla Gopalan. Under Dr. (Prof) Kala Vasishta's guidance. Dr. Sud managed Hormone Replacement Therapy for postmenopausal women. Dr. (Prof) Indu Gupta gave her an opportunity to actively participate in the management of Rh isoimmunised pregnancy. It was during this stint, Dr. Sud managed medical surgical disease in pregnancy (MSD Clinics) especially cardiac diseases, and obstetric emergencies such as Ante-Partum Haemorrhage, Eclampsia, Post- Partum Haemorrhage, Rupture Uterus, Septic-induced abortion, and Ectopic pregnancy. Dr. Sud was involved in the general management of infertility under Dr. LK Dhaliwal in addition to actively participating in academic activities like seminar presentation, tumour clinics, clinical meetings and perinatal meetings.

Dr. Sud's core activities during Senior Residency at PGIMER- Chandigarh include

• Independently managing cases of difficult labour such as those involving Forceps delivery, Ventouse delivery and assisting Breech delivery.
• Independently conducting difficult Caesarean Sections, Hysterectomies and Laparotomies for Ectopic pregnancies.
• Assisting major gynaecological surgeries like Debulking surgeries for Ovarian tumours, and Radical surgeries for Cervical and Vulval Cancers.

During her Senior Residency, Dr. Sud received training in Diagnostic & Therapeutic Gynaecological Laparoscopy, Diagnostic & Therapeutic Gynaecological Ultrasound, and Infertility Management (under Dr. LK Dhaliwal). She also took great interest in participating in seminars, case presentations and journal clubs for post graduate students.
